The Lensar Laser System is a surgical laser used in cataract surgery for removal of the patient's natural lens in a more precise and safe procedure. It is used by ophthalmic surgeons and is designed to seamlessly fit into the existing cataract procedure workflow and operating rooms. The system interfaces to the patient with a servo-controlled docking system. It was designed for convenience and efficiency for the patient, surgeon and operating room staff and is adaptable to different environments. The physician can approach the patient from the superior or temporal position. This is due to the unique design and footprint with its retractable laser console and motorized main unit, requiring minimal patient movement. The laser moves to the patient, the patient does not move to the laser.
