I am excited to announce that the EIC/EMCW 2001 Expo (Electrical Insulation Conference/ Electrical Manufacturing & Coil Winding 2001 Expo) will be held concurrently with the 2001 Appliance Manufacturer Conference and Expo (AMCE) at the Cincinnati Convention Center, Oct. 16-18, 2001.
For those of you who are involved with manufacturing appliances containing any kind of electrical device, this should offer an opportunity to attend two conferences and two exhibits showcasing materials, components and processing equipment.
If you are not familiar with the EIC/EMCW Expo, this event is held every two years (odd numbered years) and is organized by the Dielectric Society of IEEE (Institute of Electrical/Electronic Engineers); the Insulating Materials and Magnetic Wire Section of NEMA (National Electrical Manufacturers Association); and EMCWA (the Electrical Manufacturing & Coil Winding Association). These not-for-profit voluntary groups organize the largest international conference and trade show dedicated to the materials and process equipment involved with manufacturing all types of electrical components for coil assemblies to motors and transformers.
The event in 1999 incorporated more than 140 technical presentations and featured more than 350 companies on the exhibit floor. Among the many topics discussed are insulating materials, magnet wire innovations, magnetic materials and components, armature and stator manufacturing technologies, coil design and manufacturing, resin and impregnating developments, coil and motor assembly and testing, plus more.
The co-location of this event with the AMCE will allow engineering, manufacturing and purchasing personnel to visit two events at one location.
If you would like a preview of the EIC/EMCW 2001 Expo come to the Cincinnati Convention Center, Oct. 31 - Nov. 2, 2000, and attend the EMCW 2000 Conference and Expo. More than 300 companies will be exhibiting. A four-day conference will include short courses by the American Institute of Motion Engineers, EMCWA and SMMA (Small Motors and Motion Association). Presentations will also be made by the Soft Magnetic Materials Division of MMPA (Magnetic Materials Producers Association). And don't forget to visit www.coilwinding.org.
