Basic Switch Design Improved, New Contact Versions Added to Sealed Miniature Switch Line

SAIA-Burgess Electronics has improved the basic switch design and added two new versions to its V9 series of sealed, metal-housed miniature switches, which has been successfully used by designers for many years.

V9-series parts are miniature single-pole switches that are sealed and pressure tested against ingress of liquids. The new V9N switch being introduced has increased overtravel, improved wiring capabilities, and a wider range of lever actuators.

With two new additions to the product line, versions now available are a 3mm contact gap snap-action switch to meet European requirements and a positive-action, forced-break switch for safety applications, as well as a micro-gap snap-action switch. The moving contact is silver and the fixed contacts are silver cadmium oxide.

Electrical ratings for the V9 series are 125 VAC, 10 A resistive load and 250 VAC, 10 A; and 15 VDC, 15 A resistive load through 250 VDC, 0.25 A.

Boost ACR Energy Efficiency with Copper MicroGroove Tubes

ON-DEMAND: Today's market is challenging manufacturers of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment to increase energy efficiency, use less materials and reduce impact on the environment. The superior heat transfer of smaller-diameter copper tubes with inner grooves is helping manufacturers meet these demands with high-performance compact coils that reduce energy requirements, transfer heat more efficiently and lower costs by using less material while using familiar manufacturing techniques.
