Odawara Engineering Co.

The IOW-1100S universal type needle direct winding machine is specifically designed to wind coils directly into the slots of inner and outer wound stators. The winding needle is controlled by a CNC controller. Independent AC motor servo drives for the X, Y and q axes provide precision layer winding for difficult winding requirements.

Kirkwood Industries

The latest design principles for high performance commutators open new dimensions for the DC motor. Advancements include improved anchorage of copper bars, optimal connection between the bar formation and the shaft over the whole length of the commutator, usage of high grade insulating material, and close tolerances. Results include the elimination of deformation and bar jumping, high circumferential speed, high electrical and mechanical strength, and high thermal stability.

Tuson Corp.

Custom-made components and subassemblies for AC and DC motors meet demanding high-precision requirements while sophisticated manufacturing technology allows the parts to be a good value. Components include shafts, commutators, magnets, gears, rotor/stator subassemblies, powder metal bearings, fasteners and housings.

Intertape Polymer Group

The Performance Product line of electrical and electronic tapes are designed for demanding applications. The electrical tapes are designed for a variety of high temperature applications, and are also used for splicing rough surface materials and masking off sensitive areas to protect during plasma/thermal spray operations. The electronic tapes are designed to satisfy the variety of in-process and packaging needs of manufacturers of through-hole electronic components.

PD Wire & Cable

Poly-thermaleze TW magnet wire is a Thermal Class 220 (copper) wire for high-speed motor windings with difficult insertion and winding characteristics. It has a dual insulation system, modified to optimize scrape resistance and surface lubricity. The tough topcoat is resistant to abrasion, heat, chemicals, moisture, and varnish crazing.

Baker Instrument Co.

The Advanced Winding Analyzer (AWA) Series III integrates a wide range of tests in one versatile instrument. It supports all major tests electric tests in a single field portable unit including surge, polarization index, DC HiPot, megohm, and winding resistance. It also offers complete data collection capabilities, including documentation and trending. It uses a Windows NT operating system.

Meteor

The Meteor Compact System (MCS) modular coil production cell allows for high-volume output of high-quality coils. Standardized coil handling permits specific applications with a minimum of of technical expertise. Bobbins can be loaded and unloaded by different modules adapted to the customer requirements, using either manual or fully automatic feeding. The handling robot is a SCARA robot with 4 or 5 axes that, combined with the Meteor control platform, provides an ideal basis for application-oriented transfer handling.

DuPont Engineering Polymers

Zenite LCP liquid crystal polymer resin is an aromatic polyester with high melting point (335-352°C/635-666°F). Features include excellent dimensional stability and creep resistance, even at very high temperatures. The processibility of the resin makes molding surface-mount coil forms with 0.25 mm (10 mil) thick flanges a commercial reality.

Liquid Control Corp.

PosiDot valves for two-component, precision, small-shot dispensing have the ability to meter, mix, and dispense small shots from 0.005 cc to 5 cc while maintaining precise ratio and shot size repeatability. The PosiDot valve is ideal for applications involving bonding, sealing, potting, damming and glob topping, doming, molding, and other processes using epoxies, urethanes, silicone and most other reactive resin systems. It can handle low to paste viscosity materials and ratios from 1:1 to 25:1. PosiDot valves are available in a wide variety of standard configurations.

Hipotronics

The 300 Series AC/DC HiPot insulation tester and megohmmeter can perform routine tests on wires and cables, printed circuit boards, connectors, coils, switches, capacitors, motors, and bushings. The highly sensitive DC current meter and easily accessible front panel controls make the tester ideal for a laboratory environment, while the rugged construction and ease of use also makes the tester suited in a production application. A recessed, locking high-voltage connection minimizes user accessibility to high voltage, and an interlock provision allows the easy installation of any type of safety switch into the control circuitry.

National Starch & Chemical

PreForm adhesives save time and money while optimizing production efficiency and product quality. The PreForm adhesive is applied without metering or mixing, and requires no clean up. The method can consistently and accurately place a specified amount of adhesive in the exact location on a part, thus guaranteeing a uniform thickness at the bond line. The process creates little or no waste and can be automated.

Nexans

Magnesol E-180 magnet wire is solderable enameled copper wire based on a linear polyesterimide resin. It is recommended for twisting devices, relays, transformers, televisions, automotive components, micro motors and low-range motors. It is available in AWG 18-44 sizes with single, heavy or special builds. The EN-180 version of the product features a polyamide overcoat and is specially adapted for high-speed process (NEMA MW78).

Vantico

New line of Araldite and Arathane materials have been designed specifically for bonding, staking and sealing in the electronics industry. The products combine the mechanical, electrical, and environmental performance required by electronics manufacturers with ease-of-use and cost-effectiveness. The materials provide outstanding bond strengths to a wide variety of materials and are available in simple 1:1, 2:1 two-component systems or in one-component systems.

Automation Tooling Systems

The CWS 4000 Coil Winder is high-performance winding machine that can be operated as a stand-alone machine or a part of an automated production system for high-volume coil production. CWS 4000 mechanics feature brushless servo motors and linear bearings throughout for robust capability. Dual-processor, open-architecture controls provide excellent maintainability and performance. The machine offers a maximum of 12 spindles and a maximum winding speed of 24,000 RPM.

Windamatic Systems

The DSW4500-I dual-head shed winder with independent drives incorporates the same technical innovations and advantages as the SW4500 single-head shed winder plus the additional advantages of more efficient operation, lower cost, and less floor space. The new machine has the flexibility to wind the same coils on both winding heads (or separate coils) where simultaneous insertion of two different sets of coils is required.

USA Tolerance Rings

A USA tolerance ring can be a perfect solution for fastening and mounting various components while reducing weight and cost in the manufacturing process without compromising performance. The rings are used to hold bearing mounts, fan mounts, bushings, gear mounts, brush holders and other parts involved in motor applications. The rings are widely used in power tool and vacuum cleaner products.

Sarcem America, Inc.

RFID inlet manufacturing system automatically produces wire wound thermo-bonded antenna coils in various sizes and shapes. The chip module can be positioned to the antenna coil manually or automatically, with automatic thermo-compression bonding of the antenna leads to the chip module. Unloading of the completed inlet can be manual or automatic, per your requirements. A typical 20mm round tag inlet can be produced in less than 10 seconds.

Tyco Electronics

The AMP Entry Level Terminator (ELT) is a value-oriented machine for terminating wire using reeled terminals and contacts. It is designed for customers that require the increased output and quality of a semiautomatic machine at a competitive price. Based upon the field-proven Model G Terminator, the ELT incorporates the most commonly requested features as standard and offers a long list of options, providing the flexibility to meet specific application needs at the lowest possible cost. The ELT has a crimp force capacity of 3,000 lbs., a cycle time of less than 0.400 seconds, and an operation sound level of 76 dBa.
