Atlas
Atlas introduces FLEX Series of affordable, standardized transfer press cells.

Atlas introduces a series of standardized transfer press cells for medium-size part stamping that addresses the industry need for highly automated, yet flexible operation that yields maximized throughput from a single press. With tonnages between 800-ton and 3500-ton, and bed sizes from 10' to 20', the expandable cells include a precision, mechanical press, Atlas FLEX programmable in-press transfer automation and tooling, and integrated controls. They also typically include blank and/or coil handling and related pallet systems; scrap handling equipment; and die change systems. Other equipment, such as automated storage/retrieval of dies, coil or blanks, and end-of-line automation, can also be added.

Compared to custom-engineered stamping cells, the Atlas cells have high Reliability and Maintainability (R&M), and a cost advantage since they are pre-engineered, with centralized controls, to specifically meet required part size and production ranges. They are typically equipped with Atlas die cart/rack systems and designed to quickly switch between coil-fed and blank-fed operations. The high speed, programmable transfer motions and reliable part control of the FLEX 5000® also add to the high throughput capability that can be obtained from a single press.

Atlas Technologies is a leading producer of pressroom automation including complete die change systems; die storage and retrieval systems; sheet metal handling systems for destacking and stacking; and turnkey stamping press systems.

New servo press feeds

Coe Press Equipment Corporation's new ServoMaster Series servo feeds offer high-speed coil stock feeding, modular heavy-duty redesign and competitive pricing.

Coe's ServoMaster Servo Roll Feeders are targeted to provide the highest thickness and width capacities in the industry and allow stamped parts to have tolerance accuracy of +/- .003-in. Designed with stocked off-the-shelf modular components, they reduce costs, allow easier service and faster delivery.

Four models provide processing from .125-in. to .250-in. material thickness, and 6-in. to 42-in. widths (depending on material combination). Coe's new Servo-Master Control System provides fast set-up, ease of operation and other benefits for the ServoMaster Servo Feeds.
