Loctite Corporation
Loctite Corporation introduced two new products to its patented line of clear, thermally-resistant adhesives. Loctite 4203, a medium viscosity adhesive (300 cPs) and Loctite 4205, a non-running gel, join 4204 (4,000 cPs) completing a line of products designed to offer improved resistance to prolonged heat, peel, vibration, humidity and damp environments.
Loctite's latest product line achieves fast fixture strengths on most substrates (20-30 seconds), including steel, aluminum, nitrile and EPDM rubbers, ABS, phenolics and SBR. The products cure to a clear, rubber toughened bondline and have been tested to last up to ten times longer than traditional "super glues" at elevated temperatures. Loctite 4203, 4204 and 4205 are the first instant adhesives capable of withstanding continuous temperatures to 250¿F (121¿C) for periods in excess of 2,000 hours. These thermally-resistant instant adhesives are single-component, cost-effective solutions versus existing two-component, heat-cure epoxies. Loctite 4203, 4204 and 4205 are designed for use in demanding appliance applications such as electric motor and other electrical assemblies where higher thermal performance is required. Available in a variety of package sizes, Loctite 4203, 4204 and 4205 can be dispensed manually or with semi-automatic or fully-automatic dispensing equipment also available from Loctite.
