Eastman Chemical Company supplies major appliance manufacturers around the world with an array of products that appliance engineers and marketers appreciate. Outstanding products for this market are DuraStar polymers, Eastar copolyesters and Thermx polyesters.
Sparkling clarity, tintability, chemical resistance, toughness and good economics are the reasons appliance manufacturers turn to Eastar copolyesters for use in products such as refrigerator crisper trays and floor care nozzles.
The high temperature resistance and colorability of Thermx polyesters provide both small and major appliance manufacturers with economic, alternative resin for applications ranging from iron skirts to oven handles. Whenever heat, warpage and processability are issues, Thermx polyesters provide an economic alternative.
Ease of processing and excellent toughness make DuraStar polymers the material of choice for clear appliance parts. The toughness, high gloss and clarity and outstanding chemical resistance of these polymers deliver parts that not only meet but also exceed the demands of today's manufacturers and consumers.

Eastar copolyester from Eastman Chemical Company met tough requirements before selection as the resin for high-performance components in Eureka's Dream Machine Heavy Duty Steam Cleaner.
Eastman provides premixed transparent tinted resin to Eureka's molders for the leakproof recovery tank, tank lid and plates assembly, floor care suction cover, upholstery nozzle and attachment. These components require exceptional impact and abrasion resistance, chemical resistance and clarity. Parts made of Eastar copolymer passed rigorous in-house impact and end-use testing, including resistance to an array of cleaning solutions. The combination of physical attributes, processability and cost made Eastar DN004 copolymer the material of choice.
The Dream Machine converts from rug shampooing and bare floor care to upholstery cleaning at the flick of a switch.
