HAYDON SWITCH AND INSTRUMENT
The LC Series 15 mm captive linear actuator has a step increment of 0.02 mm (0.0079-in.) per step. Delivering over 4N (1 lb.) of thrust, the product attains a high level of performance for applications such as appliances, office equipment, medical instruments, or any other device that requires precise remote-controlled linear movements in a very small package size. External linear versions are also available.

INTERNATIONAL RECTIFIER
A new series of 600 volt non-punch-through (NPT), insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) devices offer improved ruggedness at a lower cost than previous generations. They are designed for motor-drive applications such as clothes washers, refrigerators and air conditioners. The devices have a low current "tail" at turn-off, significantly reducing switching energy losses and allowing modulated frequencies up to 20 kHz. Higher modulated frequencies permit better torque control at lower speeds as well as reducing audible noise.
