Heat Barrier II¿ is a specially coated glass that blocks heat while allowing vision through a glass oven door without color distortion. Treated on both sides, it withstands temperatures as high as 650¿C (1,200¿F). Designed to block heat transfer through windows, this new configuration deposits, by ion implantation, conventional and rare metallic oxides on both surfaces of a piece of soda lime or borosilicate glass. The transparent coating functions as a black heat shield that blocks the transmission of infrared rays through the glass without color distortion. Heat Barrier II resists thedeposition of cooking vapors andcreosote build-up. Marsco works with clients in product development, prototype production, and pilot production runs. Quality Control is a passion! ISO 9002 Certification is scheduled for the second half of 1996.
