Deltrol Controls

Deltrol Controls
Deltrol Controls high-power tubular solenoid.

In response to customer requests for a larger tubular unit, Deltrol Controls has added the new MED 19 X 2.7 to its existing line of solenoids.

The MED 19 X 2.7, measuring 1 3/16" in diameter by 2 7/10" long, offers more power capability with a full range of options for voltages and duty cycles. For example, this unit offers a continuous duty force of 18 oz. at a 1/2" stroke. The design is appropriate for high power application where space limitations require a compact size. Initially the unit is being manufactured as a pull type solenoid with plans for the push style version to be available soon.

With over 30 years of experience, Deltrol Controls solenoid designs include the C Frame for volume applications, the D Frame for high-quality applications, the ¿ME¿ for DC only and space-limited applications, and an extensive array of custom products. Most models feature high-temp molded coils, molded-in terminals, low friction plunger guides and highly efficient stroke and force ratios. www.deltrol.com

Invensys Controls

Invensys Controls
Trimline and t2 open up design possibilities.

Two new time/temperature products from Invensys Controls portend the beginning of a new age in oven control systems. The controls, called Trimline in the U.S. and t2 in Europe, evolved from a joint program between Invensys's Electronic Controls Division and ACT Europe. Trimline and t2 are based on a modular electronic design platform, individually tailored for each regional market. The two controls are designed to interface with proven, reliable platinum sensor technology. The targeted pricing for both models is equal to or below that of self-clean electromechanical controls. But cost is not the only benefit. Range manufacturers report that electromechanical self-clean controls typically are among the top three culprits in generating field service calls. Electronic controls historically are much more reliable. With service calls running in the neighborhood of $65 to $70, and with customer satisfaction at stake, there is little wonder that Invensys Controls reportedly received commitments for more than half a million units while the systems were in development. Invensys Controls is the largest worldwide supplier of controls for residential and commercial appliances. Invensys Controls, P.O.
