The Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM), Washington, D.C., has announced the election of new directors and the appointment of a new treasurer at its annual member meeting in Washington, D.C., on April 19, 2009.
Newly elected members of the AHAM board of directors with terms expiring in 2010 include Thomas F. Catania, Vice President, Whirlpool Corporation and Alvise Ricoveri, Managing Director, DeLonghi America, Inc.
Re-elected to the AHAM board with terms expiring in 2012 are Earl F. Jones, Senior Counsel, Regulatory Compliance, GE Consumer & Industrial, a former AHAM Board Chair; Robert P. Scaglione, SVP - Marketing, Sharp Electronics Corporation who also serves as Second Vice Chair of the AHAM Board; Franz J. Bosshard, Senior Vice President, BSH Home Appliances Corporation; Jerry G. Ryder, President, InSinkErator Division, Emerson Appliance Solutions who serves as AHAM Board Chair; and Edward V. McAssey, III, COO, Lasko Products, Inc., a former Board Chair.
Paul Sikir, Vice President of Design Engineering, Sub-Zero Inc. was also appointed Treasurer, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of Mike L. Carpenter, President, Focus Electrics, LLC. Mr. Sikir also serves as an Ex Officio Director and Chair of the Major Appliance Division.
