Electrolux Names New Head of Major Appliances Europe

Enderson Guimaraes has been appointed new head of Major Appliances Europe and Executive Vice President of AB Electrolux. He succeeds Magnus Yngen, who has been appointed President and CEO of Husqvarna AB. Guimaraes will be a member of Group Management and report to President and CEO Hans Stråberg.

Guimaraes, 48, is currently Senior Vice President Product & Brand within Major Appliances Europe. Before joining Electrolux, Guimaraes held various management positions in the home appliances and consumer industry with leading global corporations such as Philips, Hewlett Packard and Procter & Gamble.

Guimaraes will assume his new position on October 1, 2008. He is Brazilian, and will be based in Brussels, Belgium.

Electrolux Major Appliances Europe is a market leader in home appliances, selling approximately 20 million products to customers in more than 30 European countries. Products include kitchen appliances and fabric care products. Electrolux Major Appliances Europe employs 26,000.
