(ARTI), Inc. is accepting bids for a new research project to establish a
standardized methodology to calculate the Life Cycle Climate Performance (LCCP)
for HVAC/R.

Smart Appliance Market to Hit $15 Billion in 2015
The global market for smart appliances is projected to grow to
more than $15 billion by 2015, according to market research and consulting firm
Zpryme, Austin, Texas. China, U.S., Australia, and U.K. are among the top
markets for smart appliances to be purchased by ‘griders’ i.e. smart grid
‘active’ consumers.

NIST Wants Comments on Smart Grid
The Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), has launched a public forum to solicit views on questions pertaining to the consumer interface to the nation’s evolving “smart” electric power grid.
