Dacor, a worldwide
leader in high-end kitchen appliance design, manufacturing and
distribution, announced today that the company will showcase its
high-end appliances at the San Diego 2000 Street of Dreams.
This five-week luxury home tour and lifestyle event, which began
on Saturday, Sept. 30, is being held at the Heritage Golf Estates in
Poway, Calif.
Street of Dreams is North America's premier luxury home tour
and lifestyle exhibition. The event, which claims to be the nation's
most popular, has been staged in cities ranging from Vancouver to
West Palm Beach and Montreal to San Diego over the past 15
years.
Dacor will feature its signature Epicure(TM) line in the kitchens of
three, fully furnished, multimillion-dollar showcase homes at the
event. These residential masterpieces, sized from 5,400 to 8,100
square feet on one-acre sites, have been designed by some of San
Diego County's most prestigious custom-home builders, including
AmeriConstruction, MSK Development Group, Oakhurst Builders,
McCullough-Ames Development, Tony Garczynski Development,
Inc., and CrossWare Development.
The featured Epicure(TM) appliances will include the
multi-function, ECD230 Epicure(TM) Double Wall Oven; EHD
Epicure(TM) 48-inch Wide Hood; ESG486 Epicure(TM) Stainless
Steel Gas Cooktop; DMO24 Electric Microwave Oven; and
EWO24 Epicure(TM) Warming Oven.
Dacor's luxurious Epicure(TM) appliance line offers a variety of
unique functionalities, and is a favorite of many popular chefs
worldwide. The ECD230 Stainless Steel Double Wall Oven
features digital electronic oven controls; pure convection and
standard bake systems; eight-pass reflective broilers; halogen
lights and a self-cleaning function.
The EHD Epicure(TM) 48-inch Wide Hood offers variable-speed
blowers and removable dishwasher-safe filters; the ESG486
Epicure(TM) Stainless Steel Gas Cooktop features a griddle,
simmer plate and a wok ring; and the DMO24 Electric Microwave
Oven has 1,100 watts of power and 1.8 cubic foot capacity. The
Epicure(TM) 24-inch Warming Oven is the largest of its kind in
the industry, housing up to four, 9-inch dinner plates side-by-side.
Additionally, this one-of-a-kind warming oven includes an
adjustable humidity control panel that enables flexibility to have
food warm, crisp or moist.
The Street of Dreams showcases the latest trends in home design,
architecture, domestic accessories and electronics. All homes are
available for viewing Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. until
7 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m.
Tickets are available on-site up until two hours before closing; and
only cash is accepted. Weekend tickets are $12 for adults, and $11
for children ages 4-12, and senior citizens. Weekday ticket prices
are $2 less. The event is free to children age 3 and under. For
